@csurvivor7 I would really urge Nickel-Zinc batteries, which can grant the necessary voltage to guide the sparkle. They do a fantastic job, although quality control is a bit iffy and they don’t last as long as NiMH batteries. Just keep in mind that you must use a NiZn charger, as anything else will ruin the batteries.
I like the camera!! But it does eat up batteries, I have to use Lithium or Re-chargeable.
But my camera now freezes up when I have the sparkle on. Not sure why but when I press the button to take the picture the screen and such freezes.
This happened right after I messed with the aperture. Not sure if this is just coincidence or if it has something to do with the problem.
It works fine if the sparkle is not on!
If anyone has any help suggestions please message me!

this camera sucks, i have it too and it just stopped working for some wits…it turns on…makes a weird noise and turns off.

Do not get AipTek. I currently use a Casio exilim camera, which is fantastic.

when I use sparkle on my camera, the whole camera becomes unresponsive, the power button dosen’t even work and i have to remove the batteries and turn off sparkle
